Group B will have Silindile Sizalakho and Dah Bafana because of their experience, with the other three players, Loyce Muzanenhamo, Charlotte Chikasha and Beauty Gudo are expected to show that their qualification was not a fluke.
The tournament will be held from 6-8 April at the School of Mines.
“We are likely going to use Zimbabwe School of Mines premises but I understand it might come short in terms of accommodation. Our Bulawayo guys are busy talking to colleges in the city but Falcon College has not been entirely ruled out. They have magnificent facilities,” said Ndaz president Mernard Moyo from his base in Harare yesterday.
Bulawayo has already declared that they want to do well in the tournament following a lacklustre performance at the 2011 Heroes Holidays tournament at Falcon College.
Already, a 24-member men’s team, selected last week, has been put into four groups and if the line-up is anything to go by, then Wayne Brandt, the Bulawayo Metropolitan Darts Association chairman, is likely to be a proud boss after the tournament.
Meanwhile, league action continues in various venues in the city tonight with the Highlanders/Maison Nic match set to be the highlight of the evening judging by Maison Nic’s brilliant show against champions Ah-Sat last week.
Even though they eventually fell, the debutants put up a good fight.
At Barham Green, Ah-Sat’s slaughter house, debutants Zimbabwe School of Mines will be like cattle walking into a slaughter house as the champions would want to quickly ascertain their prowess following last week’s scare at Maison Nic.
