A BULAWAYO man was hauled before the Mutare Magistrates’ Courts after he sent an insulting text to his wife’s elder sister.

Appearing before Mutare magistrate, Ms Nyasha Kuture, Mkhululi Ncube(34) denied the charges of making insults over the phone.

Ncube told the court that he indeed sent the text message, but he did not know that he was sending it to his sister-in-law, Josephine Nerutanga.

Mr Donald Mudadirwa prosecuted.

In denying the charges, Ncube said he had no intention of sending the text message to his sister-in-law, but to someone else.

“Your Worship, I did not even know that I had sent the text message to my in-law and thus I deny the charge,” he defended himself.

The matter was adjourned for trial to September 1.
