ON Saturday, members of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) in Bulawayo converged at 72423 Lobengula West, to remember one of their own, the late comedian, Trust NguFidelis Nyathi who passed on last year.

The memorial tribute saw singer Mzoe7 and Hustlers Summit boss, George Mazibisa directing traffic as speeches and performances took centre stage.

To remember NguMdluli’s life, brother, Jayden Nyathi championed an event where artistes performed for the general public in honour of NguFidelis in his hometown.

Musical tributes were from Kinah The Music, Thandy Dhlana-Jele, MsizKay, Mawiza, GTI, Dash Majik, Butho, and, Asante Mo.

Poetry pieces were provided for by Poet Lethu, Chichie The Poetic Queen, as well as Lucy whose poem about today’s young people saw the audience demanding an encore.

NguMdluli was popular for his social media jokes and also for promoting local talent through his “15seconds” platform where he would sample music from local acts.

Ms Dee Washington cracked ribs and left the audience in awe while, kwaito artiste, Mzistozz Mfanafuthi concluded proceedings with an enchanting set.
