A BULAWAYO 20-year-old sketch artist Brendon Mubembi, known as Tylor doart ZW, has carved a niche for himself with incredible portraits of well-known personalities in the country.
Tylor doart ZW said he started drawing as a hobby, but was eager to take it up as a profession.
“I am planning on going with my drawings to the National Art Gallery so that I can market them. When I grew up I always held my pencil, and either my mum’s diary or paper drawing while watching television.
“I was always with a comic book because I loved the colours and characters and that pushed me to get better as the characters were perfectly outstanding and I started working more on my lines and colouring and even started drawing my own characters and gave them names,” said Tylor doart ZW.
After finishing his O-level, Tylor doart ZW took his craft to another level.
“After I passed my Ordinary Level I was supposed to continue to Advanced Level but I did not as I wanted to give everything to my talent because I believe in myself. My motivation is faith, hard work, dedication and patience.
“I have done a number of drawings for celebrities like Ginimbi, Pokello, Miss Red, among others, because of their prominence in the showbiz industry,” he said.
