Bulawayo Sneaker Expo returns with festive season flair

The Bulawayo Sneaker Expo is set to make its return on Saturday, promising an edition filled with trendy designs to get fans ready for the festive season.

In its fourth edition, the event for sneaker heads will take place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Pavilion from 11am to 9pm, offering a day of style, entertainment and networking.

Bukhosi Dumoluhle Mpofu, the expo’s marketing manager, shared the event’s purpose.

“The Bulawayo Sneaker Expo aims to celebrate sneaker culture by bringing together enthusiasts, brands and artistes. We want to create a platform for networking, showcasing local talent and promoting the sneaker industry in Bulawayo and beyond.

“Additionally, we hope to educate attendees about sneaker care, trends and the history of sneaker culture.”

A variety of activities are lined up for the day, including a Sneaker Fashion Show where local designers will showcase their latest styles and creative designs, highlighting innovation in footwear. Live performances have also been lined up where attendees will be entertained by an impressive line-up of local artistes, including DJ Eugy, DJ Sfiso, DJ Yugoe, DJ Nospa, Mlungu Omnyama, Sway, Slimzar wa Afrika B2B Skaiva, and Outfitters Runway.

A number of brands will also showcase their products and offer exclusive merchandise, making the expo a must-visit for sneaker lovers. Mpofu highlighted the networking opportunities available at the event.

“Attendees can expect an immersive experience filled with vibrant displays, engaging activities and the chance to connect with fellow sneaker lovers. They’ll have opportunities to purchase exclusive sneakers, learn from industry experts and enjoy a festive atmosphere with music and entertainment. Whether you’re a sneaker head or just curious about the culture, there will be something for everyone.”

The Bulawayo Sneaker Expo continues to establish itself as a premier event for celebrating sneaker culture, creativity and community.
