THE Bulawayo Social Soccer League is embarking on a number of fundraising events to raise money to buy equipment.
According to a letter addressed to all the affiliates by Vice Secretary General Linda Bhebhe, the organisation wants to purchase a tent and public address system, among others.
“After intense discussions as the executive and fund raising sub-committee, we saw it fit that we host a number of fundraising events this season.
The aim is to purchase a tent , chairs , Bulawayo Social Soccer League banner , Public Address system , a generator and also add to what teams get when there is a tournament as well as awards at the end of the season.
We will be hosting another fund raising event dubbed ‘uMabhija’ at the end of the month while another event is set for 1 May.”
Teams that make it into the quarter finals of the Founders tournament will be kept busy on 25 May. “All teams that make it into the quarter finals of the Founders Tournament will play at one venue. It will be our BSSL family day ,” added Bhebhe.
