BULAWAYO Social Soccer League members meet this morning at Pata Pata in Mpopoma for the annual general meeting which is expected to usher in a new leadership.

Outgoing chairman Phathisa Khanye has expressed his will to pass over the button to a new leader who will take BSSL to another level as he is not contesting in the elections. Other positions that will up for the taking are that of the fixtures secretary, treasurer and the vice secretary.

According to the organising secretary, only two candidates have put their names forward for the chairman’s post while others are yet to make their intentions known.

Much of the attention will be on the post of the chairman which comes with a lot of burden plus that of the fixtures secretary who has to compile weekly fixtures for the two BSSL pools.

Meanwhile, all BSSL preparatory games that were set for last weekend will roar to life in most parts of Bulawayo’s high density suburbs today as clubs start warming up for the upcoming season whose starting dates are expected to be made known after the elections.
