Bulawayo Social Soccer League retains executive

BULAWAYO Social Soccer League recently held its annual general meeting in Mpopoma to take stock of events that last season.

In addition, a number of posts were vacant following the end of tenure for the incumbents. Among those vacant was the post of chairman which was occupied by Dr Ntandoyenkosi Sibindi, and that of treasurer, among others.

However, the clubs unanimously agreed to retain the Sibindi led executive with Anderson Sibanda as vice chairman, Jerry Zigwevhu (secretary), Linda Bhebhe (deputy secretary), Romeo Siwela (treasurer),  Blessing Adolph Jonga (fixtures secretary),  Tinos Nhidza (deploying officer in charge of referees) with  Jemias Cheteni as organising secretary.

The dates for the resumption of the league is yet to be announced but registration is already underway. As part of preparations for the upcoming season, teams have been cleared to play friendly games.
The Bulawayo Social Soccer League is the biggest league in the country with 60 teams, which are divided into three pools, with pool winners clashing in a mini-tournament at the end of the season to ascertain the overall champions.
