The association vice-president responsible for technical affairs Brian Manuel said the meeting will discuss among others the association’s constitution as well as the programme for the 2012 season.
Manuel said at the same meeting members will be co-opted to fill vacant posts that include that of vice- chairperson responsible for administration, secretary-general and two committee members.
“We will also take the opportunity to brief stakeholders on the planned launch of the centre of excellence at Eveline High School,” he said.
Manuel said the same meeting will peg affiliation fees for teams participating in the league as well as announce dates for the season’s tournaments.
Expected to attend are all teams’ representatives, the Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC), Naph, Nash among other stakeholders.
Meanwhile, MSU team coach Hugh Mangeya has confirmed that there will be represented at the meeting and that his team had already started training.
His Railstars counterpart Itsanang Abu-Basuthu also said his team started training last week. He said this season they would just concentrate on the men’s team only.
“This season we will only field the men’s team because we do not have money to cover both men and women.
We will have two men’s teams, one that will compete in the national league and another that will participate in the provincial league,” said Abu-Basuthu.
The coach of Raiders Vulindlela Jasper Moyo whose team started training two weeks ago said his charges were now on a regular training programme.
