VULNERABLE communities in Bulilima District in Matabeleland South Province have benefited from President Mnangagwa’s rice donation aimed at curbing food shortages at household level.

Under the programme, four tonnes of rice were allocated to all legislators countrywide and Bulilima legislator, Cde Dingumuzi Phuti, led the distribution of the rice to  the 19 wards in Bulilima District.

He told villagers at Mbimba Ward  at the weekend that President Mnangagwa was concerned about the plight of the less privileged hence the intervention.

“We want to thank the President for his inclusive approach to concerns of the generality of Zimbabweans. He gave rice to all MPs across the political divide to distribute to the needy in their communities.

One of the beneficiaries, Ms Anna Moyo, commended President Mnangagwa for responding to their plight.

“Bulilima constituency is big and to be remembered by our leadership is great. Everything that is dedicated to the community is shared equally and shows our leaders have people at heart,” she said.
