LEGISLATORS in Bulilima Constituency, Proportional Representation MP Dr Evelyn Ndlovu and area MP Cde Dingumuzi Phuti, have partnered with humanitarian organisation Tzu Chi Foundation to roll out initiatives aimed at improving lives in the district.

In a heartwarming act of generosity, Dr Ndlovu, who also serves as Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, and ICT Deputy Minister Cde Phuti, recently donated more than 5 tonnes of mealie meal to the elderly, vulnerable, and those in need in Malalume Ward 14.
The donation, sourced from the Tzu Chi Foundation, was distributed to over 500 households, bringing relief to families struggling to make ends meet ahead of the 2026 school calendar.
The milestone event began with a tree-planting exercise, where dignitaries led by the MPs encouraged the community to participate in environmental stewardship.
The Tzu Chi Foundation, led by Director Chin Chai Chu, has been actively collaborating with Government to support vulnerable communities in Zimbabwe. Chief Madlambudzi and Zanu PF leadership at national, provincial, and district levels were present at the event.
Speaking at the distribution, Minister Ndlovu expressed gratitude to President Cde Dr E.D. Mnangagwa and Tzu Chi Foundation for their generosity.
“This donation is a timely intervention, especially during this festive season. We are thankful to Tzu Chi Foundation for their kindness and compassion towards our people,” she said.
Deputy Minister Phuti echoed the sentiments, adding:
“This gesture is a testament to the government’s commitment to supporting the vulnerable members of our society. As we strive to achieve an ‘Upper Middle Income Society by 2030,’ we are reminded of His Excellency the President’s mantra, ‘Nyika Inovakwa,’ which emphasizes the importance of building our nation through collective efforts.”
Beneficiaries, many of whom are elderly or living with disabilities, were visibly moved.
“This is a blessing from God. We are grateful to the government and Tzu Chi Foundation for thinking of us,” said one recipient.
