Bulls gore Shabanie

Shabanie were denied what looked like a penalty in the 22nd minute when leading scorer Nelson Maziwisa was brought down in the box by Morris Kadzola. The miners got a corner kick instead.

Merciful Ncube put Motor Action in the lead in the eighth minute. He took advantage of some sloppy defending by Smart Muchabayiwa and goalkeeper Roy Mazingi.

The goal surprised the home team with Bulls defending resolutely.

Substitute Fortune Ncube put the result beyond the reach of Shabanie Mine in the 82nd minute. A shot by Gift Phiri was blocked by Mazingi and the asbestos miners defence failed to clear resulting in the alert Ncube slotting the rebound home.

“I am happy with the win and I hope we will continue to be focused collecting points. The team is on the rise,” said an elated Joey Antipas.
