Bulls, Mambas draw

exercise, in this Castle Lager Premiership tie at Motor Action Sports Club yesterday.
The Mighty Bulls dominated for long periods and created the better chances and should have ended this match as a contest long before Mambas’ spectacular last-minute raid.
The former champions were the first to score 10 minutes into the game when Merciful Ncube headed the ball home after Protash Kabwe had flighted a beauty of a delivery into the box.
Morris Kadzola could have made it two for the Mighty Bulls when they were awarded a penalty by referee Batsirai Muchenje in the 45th minute after Tendai Chinungo handled inside the box.
But Kadzola missed from the spot-kick. Two minutes into the second half Misheck Mburayi grabbed the second  goal when he scored from close range.
The Mighty Bulls seemed to be heading for an easy victory but Mambas had other ideas and came back into the game when substitute Edmore Chitato, a former Motor Action player, scored in the 60th minute.
Chitato received a pass from Last Chibwiro, who stole the ball from Kadzola, and hammered the ball home.
It was game on and, in the fifth minute of time added on, Mambas got their equaliser when Chibwiro converted from the penalty spot.
The speedy forward won the penalty after he was brought down by Blessing Chimwamuchere inside the box.
Mambas’ assistant coach, Martin Bonongwe, was thrilled by his sides fighting spirit.
“I think at the end of the season the point we gained today might be crucial. It was a tough game, I can say it was a game of two halves. The emotions were there but deep down in our hearts we felt we could come back.
“Performance wise we had four regular players who could not play due to suspension and injury so the performance today was quite fair,” said Bonongwe.
Motor Action coach, Joey Antipas, was not impressed with his team’s performance. “I think the penalty was okay, really I wouldn’t really say the referee was bad, a penalty is a penalty, I can’t blame the referee, we gonna blame ourselves because we also missed a penalty.
“I think we should have walked away with maximum points, we collapsed and faced tactical indiscipline,” said Antipas.
