Burnley match delayed after horror injury

THE Premier League clash between Burnley and Arsenal was delayed after Aaron Ramsey suffered a horror injury.

Burnley star Ramsey, 21, was stretchered off the pitch in the 63rd minute while being given oxygen.

The injury came after Ramsey fell to floor following a tackle from Martin Odegaard.

Ramsey appeared to get his foot stuck in the turf after the tackle and could then be seen grimacing in pain while holding his knee.

The midfielder was then stretchered off the pitch while being given some oxygen.

The game was delayed for some time as medical staff from both teams treated the England Under-20 star.

Ramsey was replaced by Jay Rodriguez.

Taking to social media, numerous fans rushed to send Ramsey their well wishes.

One fan said: “Hope he will recover quickly.”

A second said: “Hope it’s not serious one .. really unlucky.”

A third added: “I’ll be shocked if its anything other than a torn knee ligament, twisted awkwardly trying to regain his balance. Horrible injury.”

Another said: “So unlucky for him.” -Sun
