Bus back on route after 15 years

Majamula Bus Company has come to the rescue of the people in the area by introducing a bus to service the area. The company has promised to introduce a second bus in the next two weeks.
In an interview yesterday, the company’s manager, Mr Abednego Nsingo, said his company management was touched by the plight of villagers hence its decision to  service the area.

“Yes I confirm that we have entered that area. We are having one bus for now and we will introduce the second one in two weeks’ time. So far we are happy with the support we are getting from the villagers,” said Mr Nsingo.
Chief Shana of Jambezi welcomed the coming in of the bus adding that his subjects and those under Chief Mvutu could now travel to and from Hwange or Victoria Falls the same day.

He said because of the unavailability of the buses in the area, villagers were forced to travel more  than 70km to the Victoria Falls- Bulawayo highway to get transport.
“This is a welcome development for the villagers in this district,” he said.
Chief Shana called on the responsi-ble authorities to complement efforts by Majamula Bus Company by fixing the roads so that the company does not abandon the route.
