Artists have hailed Zhomba Entertainment for organising the Business of Art, under atheme, How to monetize your craft seminar which was held on twitter spaces over the weekend.
Zhomba Entertainment is using the power of social media to empower artists with business skills that will help them monetize their craft.
Sydney Simbai Chadokwenda took to his Facebook account to shower praises on Zhomba Entertainment and their seminar, he said:
“After listening to this discussion, my thoughts as a musician are that talent and passion are not enough.
“It is a great initiative from you guys to introduce such platforms to discuss how best one can monetize their gift or talent per se that is very important to us thank you.

“I personally find it difficult to stay motivated, like Khaya mentioned in the seminar some of us don’t know what steps to take which route to follow and where to introduce our products ,not only for recognition or appreciation but also for monetization.
“This then tends to be frustrating for an individual and may result in a number of unhealthy behaviors.”
He added that:
“We leave in the age of technology where one may say the information is all over the internet , but without the adequate structures in place to maximize and apply the information we are basically doomed from get go .”
Speaking on the same platform National arts council of Zimbabwe director Nicholas Moyo said:
“There is no music industry in Zimbabwe up until we have structures that support the industry we will always cry foul .”
Speakers at the seminar included radio presenter Khaya Moyo , media personality Sizwakele Ndlovu , Khumbu Malinga and Muzo Beats from Zambia.
Zhomba Entertainment is a new arts and entertainment stable that is set to change the industry in Zimbabwe and Zambia.
