BULAWAYO businessman and car dealer Dumisani Mutorera was yesterday arrested at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Airport for allegedly selling a stolen vehicle.

Mutorera who runs Club Forty40 and ChyCry Trading was cornered by detectives from the CID Fraud section upon arrival from South Africa at the airport in the afternoon.

Although details of his arrest were sketchy last night, sources told Chronicle that the car dealer allegedly sold a stolen vehicle to a city man.

“Police have been looking for him and he was arrested upon arrival at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo airport and he is facing a fraud charge for allegedly selling a stolen Jeep.

“Detectives immediately arrested him and took him for questioning at CABS building yesterday,” said the source.

Mutorera was still in police custody last night and is expected to appear in court soon.

Bulawayo Province Police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango confirmed Mutorera’s arrest, without giving details.

“Investigations are underway,” said Insp Simango.
