JAMAICAN superstar Busy Signal failed to perform during the Bulawayo leg of his show at the Large City Hall Car Park on Friday night after it was abandoned due to crowd trouble.

Busy Signal was whisked away from the venue for his safety when mayhem started around midnight.

Violence started after Winky D and his band walked off stage complaining of poor sound quality.

Revellers responded by destroying the barricade that separated the rest of the crowd and the VIP and stormed on stage throwing bottles and chairs.

During the mayhem some looted alcohol, food, sweets, popcorn and other wares that were being sold by vendors at the venue.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango condemned the violence saying police were carrying out investigations.

“Investigations are ongoing and at the moment we haven’t come up with the number of people arrested. We want to make sure that the hooligans are brought to book and we’ll not leave no stone unturned,” said Insp Simango.
