Jamaican artiste Glendale Goshia Gordon, who is popularly known as Busy Signal, has confirmed his tour of Zimbabwe for a show to be held on October 24 at Glamis Arena.

The musician has sent a video clip promising to give his best to music lovers in the country.

“Be ready Zimbabwe for an exciting time. We are coming there to give you our best,” he said.

Dubbed “After Carnival Party”, the show is being organised by Chipaz Promotions in conjunction with Devine Assignments.

Director of Chipaz promotions Patson Chimbodza said they have done their groundwork for the show that will see a number of local artistes performing.

“Everything is now in place and we are waiting for the day. We have a number of local artists that will be performing at the event,” he said.

Local musicians Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Dadza D and Winky D are scheduled to perform at the event.

“We feel there was need to have a number of locals so that we create a variety for music lovers,” he said.

Busy Signal is known as one of the artistes leading the contemporary dancehall movement in his country.

He is well known for hits such as “Step Out”, “Nah Go a Jail Again”, “Tic Toc” and “Unknown Number”.

In September 2008, Busy Signal released a dancehall album “Step Out” and later released his second studio album called “Loaded”.

A lot is expected on the show as it will be another chance for local musicians to prove their prowess.

For years local musicians have been working to outshine visiting musicians.

Winky D is one other dancehall musician who has worked to give his best on such shows.

Men of the moment Jah Prayzah and Killer T will be out to defend their crowns.

Jah Prayzah, who is not a dancehall musician, will have to pull his socks as he will be out to prove his mettle with a different genre.
