FOLLOWING the successful hosting of last year’s All Star party, organisers believe this year’s celebration of Bulawayo personalities will be bigger and better.

Dubbed the Kalawa of Vuzu parties, the annual All Star party will be held at a plot in Burnside on Saturday.

Event organiser, Adrian “Tedashii” Ncube, said the venue would only be revealed to those who buy tickets to attend the party as they do not want to attract chancers.

“We’re hiding the location for security reasons. People will find out the location when they buy tickets pegged at $10 from shop 29 at Haddon & Sly complex,” said Tedashii.

He said guests attending the party will be required to wear all black.

A photo booth studio will be erected at the venue for people to create memories. “A lot of entertainment activities have been lined up for the day.

DJs Kananjo, Tick Tock, House Maniac, Prince, Da Kudu, Ruckus, Dazzle and Cubic are some of the performers. There’ll be a VIP bar and tight security at the drive-in car park,” he said.

An after party will be held at Tin Cup, instead of previously advertised Horizon Night Club. Tedashii said the event was born four years ago as a party for friends where everyone was required to wear the Converse All star shoes.

A year later, they decided to open it up and make it public after people inquired about the event.

“As the party grew, we decided to start celebrating people’s personalities as everyone is a star,” said Tedashii.
