Byo Chiefs commit to PSL

Sisa Sihwa, Sports Reporter
SOUTHERN Region Division One League champions Bulawayo Chiefs have confirmed that they are committed to be part of Castle Lager PSL next season.

Bulawayo chiefs, owned by a local businessman, have won the title before but chose to sell their PSL franchise. They won this year’s race with six games to go. Bulawayo Chiefs first won the gong in 2013, before selling the winning franchise to Bantu Rovers who were relegated from the premiership in the guise of a partnership..

Speaking to Sunday Life Sport the Bulawayo Chiefs Secretary General Dumisani Sibanda confirmed the club will be joining other teams in the premiership.

“Certainly we will be playing in the PSL come next season and that is assured. The club has the financial ability to ply its trade in the premiership next year but other partners who wish to assist the club in different ways or areas will also be welcome,” he said. @J_sihwa
