After winning the best model gong at the Bulawayo Arts Awards held earlier this year, high flying city model Shadel Noble has notched another feather in his cap after he emerged tops at the recently held Zambian Fashion and Model Awards.
As the winner of the Best Male Model of the Year at the Matabeleland Fashion Week 2015 as well as the Mr Fingers title in 2015, the last few years have been an exciting rollercoaster ride for former basketball player Noble, who is now one of the citya��s prominent models after making the switch from the basketball court to the ramp.
Held at the Golden Zambezi Hotel on 4 November, the Zambia Fashion and Model Awards were meant to recognise those who have made a significant contribution in the world of fashion and modelling.
a�?The Zambia Fashion and Model Awards, are a prestigious trade mark event that incorporates fashion, music, photography and art to create a magical runway experience and recognise and award the most talented in the fashion industry,a�? said Mutale Chikoyi about the award ceremony that was holding its second edition.
Noble said he was honoured at having won an international award, as this showed that his career was indeed on track.
a�?Ia��m proud of myself and Ia��m on cloud nine. What this shows is that my career is on the right track. However, it also scares and pleases me at the same time how my work is being accepted outside the country at this stage of my career,a�? he said.
He said he looked forward to more accolades and recognition even at home, as he was also in the running for the Zimbabwean Model Awards that will be held on 16 December. .
