Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has this Tuesday tabled Constitution Amendment Bill No. 3 in the National Assembly, marking its formal introduction to parliamentarians.

The Bill was gazetted on February 16 and went through 90 days of public consultations that were led by the Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs.

Public consultations included physical meetings held between March 31 and April 2 and written submissions.

Last week, the Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs completed the processing of submissions made during the nationwide consultation process.

President Mnangagwa recently expressed satisfaction with the public hearings, saying all parts of the country had been given an opportunity to express themselves.
