BEING a world class artiste has its perks and local rapper Cal-vin is having a sneak preview into that.

The Zkhuphani hit maker is in Germany to perform at the Urban Africa Festival, alongside African hip-hop royalty in the form of South Africaas Cassper Nyovest, Major League DJs andAA Gasmila, Megaloah, Temmie Dollface and Ghananian Stallion. The festival started on 27 and ends on 30 September.

Speaking to B-Metro from Berlin, the Luveve rapper said he was having a time of his life.

a?I flew in on Saturday last week and on Sunday we attended a film festival where I gave a talk. I spoke about the Zimbabwean music industry. We had a radio interview but it was not all work because after the interview on Tuesday we had a chance to do some sightseeing. We went to a place called The Dome which is thought of as the oldest church in Germany,a? he said.

Cal_vin said the visit created time for him to catch up and party with the man who has so far been instrumental in his career, Cassper Nyovest.

a?All the other artistes like Cassper Nyovest flew in on Tuesday evening and we had a get-together with the other artistes and a few groupies that I had put together.A We had a meal and we drank a bit. On Wednesday we started the workshops with Cassper leading us through one called the Master Class where we mentor and transfer skills to locals.a?

The workshops were held over Wednesday and Thursday while Friday is the day that they are supposed to get on stage.

Calvinas German adventure doesnat end there, however, as on Saturday he will fly to Munich for another gig.

a?On Monday morning thatas when I will then fly back home. The culture and food here has been so great,a? he said.
