RAPPER Cal_Vin arrived safely in the United Kingdom ahead of his shows this weekend where he is expected to launch his album RevengeoftheVin and celebrate his birthday during the Made in Bulawayo Concert.

Made in Bulawayo is a concert that Cal_Vin holds in the city annually to bring together hip hop artistes to showcase their talent. This time, he decided to take the concept abroad.

The rapper arrived in the UK on Tuesday, ahead of his performance at Club Prisma in Birmingham on Saturday.

From pictures and videos Cal_Vin is posting on social media, it appears he has acclimatised and hit the ground running. Already, the rapper has met people like Xavier of the Ngiyatshiselwa fame.

Cal_Vin, who over the weekend hosted the Zim Hip Hop awards, said he was excited at being in the UK for the first time.

“Everything went well. I didn’t experience any problems along the way and I was received well,” he said.

His UK tour is being promoted by Project Zim who earlier this year hosted ExQ and Takura. This is the artiste’s second excursion to Europe after his sojourn to Germany last year where he rocked the stage with Cassper Nyovest.

He said he was ready to rock the stage as he celebrates his birthday and launches his album.

“It’ll be a double dose for fans in the UK as I’ll be launching my album RevengeoftheVin and celebrating my birthday at the same time. I’m excited to be taking our music out there,” said Cal_Vin.

Cal_Vin will be joined on stage by UK-based hip hop acts such as StarpStar, Ar Mulah and Xolani.

After the UK tour, Cal Vin said he would continue promoting the Made in Bulawayo concept by taking it to other parts of the world.

“I’m talking to other people in Canada to have a Made in Bulawayo there and also in Cyprus. This event is meant to celebrate Bulawayo talent,” he said.
