The Joint Marketing Committee linking travel and tourism private sector operators and the public sector is urging all operators to support Sanganai/Hlanganani – Dzimbahwe 2026.
This is the country’s primary marketing platform and will take place in Masvingo from September 9 to 12.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority has been working to ensure a good attendance by reputable buyers and it is hoped a combination of good attendance and worthwhile buyers will result in significant gains by operators in particular and the travel and tourism sector in general.
Operators are also asked to give support where they can to pre and post event familiarisation tours for buyers, giving them a chance to see and experience what the country offers in terms of attractions and amenities.
Participation in events preceding or surrounding the expo itself is equally encouraged so that operators gain full benefit from the work being put into the whole Sanganai experience.
The JMC is working with ZTA to help ensure a satisfactory event that yields benefits for operators across the country.
If that support is lacking or not given, the event becomes meaningless and without purpose and this would not benefit any operators or the country as a whole.
Effort will also be made to gain operators’ perspectives on the event, with a view to influencing enhancement and further improvement in 2027, when the event will be hosted in Kariba.
