Call for volleyball volunteers

APPLICATIONS for the Zimbabwe Volleyball Association (ZVA) for volunteers to take up positions in its marketing department close on January 30.

ZVA wants to fill the positions of head of marketing and business development, public relations, fundraising and sales as well as branding and product development.

ZVA indicated that it wants to fill those positions to boost its brand visibility.

“At the moment, the ZVA requires an operational unit to run with the specifics called for in the advert.

Commissions shall also be set up by the ZVA board of administration during the period March to June 2021,” ZVA wrote on its Facebook timeline.

ZVA last month elected a new board led by Mxolisi Ndlovu, with Enias Kondo assuming the secretary-general role.
Farai Mboto and Sibangani Mashasha were elected committee members.

Ndlovu has spoken widely on the need to popularise volleyball in the country and have more people following the game.

The latest ban on sporting activities came at a time the association was in the middle of establishing protocols for a safe resumption of volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball.

ZVA maintains that athletes’ safety remains a key priority and takes precedence in all its plans of action.
