MANICALAND Environment patron, Mrs Rose Mugadza has called on residents to embrace environmental stewardship and make cleanliness a continuous responsibility in order to safeguard public health and support national development.
Speaking during a clean-up campaign in Mutare, Mrs Mugadza commended the leadership of National Environment Patron, Her Excellency, Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa, whose commitment to environmental protection continues to inspire communities across the country to maintain clean and healthy surroundings.
Mrs Mugadza said the clean-up exercise was, not merely about collecting waste, but demonstrated a collective commitment to protecting natural resources and preserving the environment upon which livelihoods, health and future development depend.
She applauded stakeholders, volunteers and community members for dedicating their time and effort to the campaign, saying their participation contributes towards the national development agenda, and supports President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision of leaving no one and no place behind.
