DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Mutasa is happy with Cameroonian international Joel Christian Epoupa Ntouba and has given the club the green light to sign the 23-year-old striker. Mutasa, who had a crisis upfront in a doomed campaign last year, has been impressed by Ntouba and another highly-rated forward Quality Kangadze who is set to join the Glamour Boys from Trojan Mine.
DeMbare need to complement their strike-force which had been rendered lightweight with the departure of Rodreck Mutuma during the off-season.
“We are seeing a lot of good understanding between the youngster from Bindura and the other one from Cameroon. They are doing very well and I think they could be joining us if all goes well.
“I am sure they could add another dimension to our attack,” said Mutasa.
He was particularly happy with Ntouba who has a combination of good technique, pace and power.
Ntouba has been a regular feature in the Under-20 and Under-23 Cameroon national teams in the past few years and has previously played Champions League football with Cameroonian side Astres De Douala.
“Ntouba has the experience, if you look at the way he executes his duties. His attack on goal is very good and his runs on and off the ball are excellent. He is a very good player.
“The same with Kangadze. His movement is okay and he also has that impressive eye for goal. I am sure we are seeing much more at training than we saw during that friendly match against Black Rhinos,” said Mutasa.
Dynamos acting secretary-general Graham Mafoko said they are still waiting for the report from the technical team.
The Harare giants had been left with a young strike-force that included Musa Madhiri, Kudzanayi Nyakasaka, Takunda Sadiki, Tawanda Macheke and King Nasama.
