CAN MANICA BOUNCE BACK?

Manica Diamonds utility player Trevor Mavunga says they are looking to bounce back after a disappointing outing saw them lose to struggling Black Rhinos at the weekend.

The loss saw Manica Diamonds failing to close the gap between them and log leaders Ngezi Platinum.

Their next assignment is against resurgent champions FC Platinum.

“We tried our best against Rhinos but it wasn’t an easy outing as they managed to come back and win against us,” said Mavunga.

“We tried to show character but I believe it was not our day but we are now focused on our next game.

“It would be sweeter if we are to bounce back and get maximum points which we know is not going to be easy.”

He added:

“So far, we have enjoyed some fair share of success and that should give us a lot of encouragement going into the game.

“What is important is for us as a team to believe that it can be done and then work towards achieving that.

“Now, we have quickly shifted our focus on Platinum.

“It’s not an easy game, you know, playing against champions.

“It’s not going to be an easy game because we know that they also want to collect maximum points so we will make sure that we give our all in this game as they have been enjoying a fair share of good form in recent days.”
