CAPS United are quietly doing their business – buying some players and selling others to South Africa.
Midfielder Juan Mutudza has penned a two year deal with Motsepe Foundation Championship side in Mzansi.
The midfielder was invited for trials by Magesi FC two weeks ago, together with his teammates Sean Mzinde and Wesley Milanzi.
But it is Leopards who tabled a better offer to the Green Machine to get Mutudza’s signature.
CAPS are also on the verge of cashing in on Sean Mzinde and Wesley Mlanzi who are said to have impressed Magesi.
Negotiations are said to be underway as CAPS are said to have told Magesi to improve their offer for the duo.
Black Leopards are also home for former CAPS United striker Clive Augusto who joined the club two seasons ago.
The agent, who has been at the heart of these discussions, confirmed Mutudza’s move.
“Mutudza has joined Black Leopards, he had also made the grade at Magesi but it is Black Leopards who moved in with speed to convince CAPS United,” he said.
“He has signed a two-year-deal and we are now working on Mzinde and Mlanzi who also impressed Magesi.
“Negotiations are ongoing and we are just hoping that the two clubs will put the interest of the players at the end of the day.”
CAPS United are scheduled to visit Bikita Minerals on Sunday.
Makepekepe lost 0-1 in the reverse fixture at Rufaro.
Zambian gaffer, Ian Bakala, will be hoping to build on his 1-0 win over Highlanders.
Bakala’s men have 28 points in 23 games in this campaign.
They are 12 points behind the top four zone with 11 games to play before the end of this campaign.
