Takaendesa is under pressure to deliver results at the Green Machine after taking over from Moses Chunga and the intensity increased yesterday following CAPS United’s 1-0 defeat at Masvingo on Sunday.
According to sources, a militant section of the CAPS United fans was eager to hunt down the coach resulting in the confrontation.
However, Takaendesa played down the near ugly scene and said it would in-fact spur him to work harder towards winning in their next assignments.
“I would not say that there was skirmish as such but I would say there was one supporter who wanted to confront me.
“The team is not getting results and the supporters want the positive results.
“CAPS United are a big team and if positive results are not coming, some people could behave in some outward ways,” said Takaendesa.
CAPS United lost to a solitary Pervington Zimoyo strike at Mucheke in a game Takaendesa fell short of technical support from the bench.
His assistants Rodwell Dhlakama and Alois Bunjira did not travel to Mucheke for the game.
Despite the threat on his life, Takaendesa has remained defiant.
“It was nothing much but just one fan who wanted to show the people around that he knew me and can identify me.
“Even the CAPS United leadership, I am sure will not tolerate the violent behaviour but all we want are results.
“Our balls are not crossing the goal lines while our opponents are managing.
“So far I cannot say my life is threatened in any way,” said Takae-ndesa.
The ugly incident on Takaendesa was yesterday condemned by local football cheerleader Chris Musekiwa.
“It’s unacceptable when we are preaching for peace and tranquillity to prevail in our football and yet we have some undesirable elements who are still immature.
“People should accept results as they come,” said the Musekiwa who is also a Dynamos and Warriors cheerleader.
Chunga left CAPS United after a strained relationship with a militant section of the Makepekepe fans.
The last straw for Chunga came after a physical assault from a CAPS fan following their BancABC Sup8r quarter-final defeat by Highlanders at Baghdad.
