Connor is desperate to collect maximum points today, having been reported to have one game to save his job.
Assistant coach Lloyd Chitembwe was not at liberty to discuss today’s match and insisted referred all the questions to Connor whose mobile number was not available.
“We have a set-up at the club which need to obeyed. Sean Connor is my boss and he is the one who is responsible for giving comments, if I give you an interview it won’t sound nice.
“If you want interviews you should come during the week when the manager addresses the media or you should ask for his permission to talk to me,” said Chitembwe.
A win today for CAPS will come as a great relief for Connor who last week took full responsibility for the team’s woeful start to the Premiership season.
The two sides have had contrasting fortunes in the run up to this match with Quelaton managing two wins in their opening six games and are sitting one place above CAPS with six points.
Quelaton, who are coached by Farai Sibanda, will also be desperate to start picking up maximum points and in their last two games they registered back to back 1-0 victories against Gunners and Harare City.
Interestingly, the Bulawayo side have beaten teams that CAPS have failed to beat this season.
Quelaton started the season on a bad note losing 4-3 to Hwange in their first match and followed that with a 2-0 loss to Chicken Inn before going down 3-0 to Motor Action.
The Bulawayo side have in their ranks former Dynamos defender Trymore Mtisi, exciting forward Mhleli Sibanda and Proud Zireni.
Sibanda yesterday was hopeful for a good result.
“We have been preparing for this game and we are looking forward to a good result. We are a new side in the league and we are progressing very well,” said Sibanda.
