they face Masvingo United in a tricky tie at Mucheke on Sunday.
The Green Machine have played all but just one match (Week 9) in Harare and will only be making their second trip outside the capital for a Castle Lager Premiership assignment this season.
Their last trip, out of the capital, ended in a bitter defeat at the hands of Highlanders at Barbourfields.
Since their 4-1 win over Masvingo on June 8, CAPS United are yet to record a win and will be hoping for a positive result to pacify their restless fans.
But Yuna Yuna caretaker coach Saul Chaminuka is not taking the Green Machine lightly despite the alarming dip in form by the Harare giants.
Chaminuka has been thrust to lead Masvingo United after Luke Masomere dumped the side for Shabanie Mine.
“CAPS United are not a bad side but it’s just that they are going through a bad patch,” said Chaminuka.
“Every team struggles at times when they hit a bad patch but they need to work out and hit a purple patch.
“We are ready for them because we lost out the last game at home against Motor Action.
“CAPS United will be aiming for a win and we should not take them lightly.
“We are not going to be complacent in this match at all,” said Chaminuka.
He feels Masvingo United are the underdogs in the game.
“Our fans also want results and playing at home will put pressure on us.
“So we are not in a much different situation than that of CAPS United,” said Chaminuka.
Chaminuka said his charges are ready to face the wounded Green Machine.
Masvingo forced a share of the spoils against Chicken Inn at Luveve at the weekend with a committed display that charmed many neutrals.
CAPS United lost 3-0 to Monomotapa at Rufaro and will be missing Nyasha Mukumbi for the match.
The central defender is suspended as he is on three yellow cards while striker Evans Gwekwerere is also ineligible after accumulating three yellow cards.
Meanwhile, Blue Ribbon influential forward, Tineyi Chitora, said the side’s win over Dynamos in a league match at Rufaro on Wednesday was just the tonic needed for their survival in the Premiership.
Blue Ribbon stunned their highly fancied rivals through a solitary goal from James Jam early in the first half.
Chitora scored a brace when Blue Ribbon beat Dynamos in the corresponding fixture at Rufaro.
“I think the win against Dynamos will boost the confidence of the players.
“We have good players but they only needed the confidence to believe in themselves.
“We now have to work harder and move up the log in our next game.
“I pleased that our guys were composed despite playing in front of an intimidating crowd,” said Chitora.
