WORLD Class Motors director, George Mpala, has been accused of stealing trust property amounting to US$6 000.

Mpala appeared before Harare regional magistrate, Letwin Rwodzi, and was released on US$200 bail.

The court heard that on August 23, 2019, Mpala sold two car bodies, a Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Alex, to the complainant Trymore Simango, who was issued receipts for both items.

Simango towed the Toyota Alex and left the Toyota Land Cruiser in Mpala’s custody.

Mpala went on to sell it to Abraham Antonio on February 8, 2020, without Simango’s knowledge.

In November last year, Simango approached Mpala intending to collect the Toyota Land Cruiser, but failed to recover it despite numerous attempts.

He reported Mpala to the police leading to his arrest.

Kelvin Munyimi appeared for the State.
