MUTARE comes alive this weekend as the city rolls out a vibrant mix of music, nightlife and cultural flair guaranteed to keep fans buzzing. From high-energy club parties headlined by some of the province’s hottest DJs to mellow old-school sessions crafted for nostalgia lovers, the city’s entertainment scene has lined up an irresistible package. Whether you are chasing new-school vibes, craving timeless classics, or simply looking for a place to unwind with friends, Mutare’s hotspots have something special prepared for every mood. Here is a quick look at the events set to light up the city over the next few days.
Villa Spot
More than 20 disc jockeys from across Manicaland will tonight (Friday) converge at the joint for the Carling Black Label Cup Clash eastern regional competition. The winner of the potentially explosive cup clash will represent Manicaland at the national event to be held before end of this year.
The event, which usually draws scores of music lovers, including upcoming DJs, will see DJs battling it out for to honours in front of adjudicators from Harare. The event starts at 6pm till late.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
Fancy Friday will kick-start the festivities, ushering in the KeDecember Party spirit with flair and youthful energy. Two of Mutare’s most electrifying DJs will headline the night — DJ Stixxie and Popinjo — who are expected to dominate the decks with a dynamic blend of new-school hits.
From amapiano to Afro-fusion, trap to trending club bangers, the duo promises a high-energy experience guaranteed to keep fans on their feet well into the early hours.

As the weekend unfolds, the joint will switch gears and rewind the clock for its beloved Saucy Sunday, a day dedicated entirely to Old School classics.

This session will be steered by renowned old school specialist DJ Tawaz, whose carefully curated playlist is known for stirring nostalgia and rekindling golden memories.
Brews and Barrels
Brews and Barrels ushers in the festive spirit with a mixed bag of music and family-friendly fun running from tonight right through to Sunday. The popular joint has lined up a powerhouse roster of DJs — DJ Spillz, Bullaz, Walker and DJ Lypsy — who will rotate on the decks to deliver everything from Afro-house and amapiano to timeless club favourites.
The venue is also going big on inclusivity this weekend, offering a jumping castle and entertainment for kids, making it an ideal stop-over for families looking to ease into the December groove.
Club Mandisa
It is all systems go at the joint, situated at the heart of the city, where the nightlife promises to be bold, electric and unapologetically wild. The club has lined up top performers Nasty, Silbasil and Smokes, who are set to deliver high-octane sets guaranteed to keep the place buzzing. Adding spice to the evening, vixens will be on hand to entertain patrons, elevating the visual and performance energy of the night.
MiCasa
The heat turns up as DJ Marvel, DJ Joe and DJ Cape Lorel prepare to set the roof ablaze at the ever-vibrant joint nestled in the heart of Mutare’s city centre.
Starting tonight, the trio will deliver an explosive blend of mixes, seamless transitions and dance-floor-filling rhythms as they take turns commanding the decks. Patrons can look forward to a night defined by energy, precision and musical mastery, which is the kind of atmosphere where time slips away and the party only, gets better with every beat.
The Pizza Pavilion and Grill
Situated within the elegant grounds of the Portuguese Club, The Pizza Pavilion and Grill continues to redefine Mutare’s dining-and-entertainment scene. This weekend, a curated selection of DJs will be on rotation, serving smooth, soulful and easy listening sounds.
