CARLOS Green says he regrets drinking with Makhadzi’s support staff in Kadoma after he missed his Sunday slot at an upmarket Harare pub.
The South African diva headlined the Kadoma Musical Festival held at The Odyssey on October 22 where she shared the stage with Jah Prayzah.
Amid the hype, which had been created, the Vane Mari Vauya boss also attended the festival.
The only problem Carlos Green committed was failing to make it to Harare on time for his own slot at Bar Rouge.
After messing up, sources say, the versatile singer then called management at Bar Rouge advising them he had a flat tyre.
Sources say he had been paid his dues but still failed to honour the contract, raising the ire of the joint owners.
“Yes it’s true I missed my Harare show under the influence of alcohol and I really feel ashamed because I was paid to perform.
“I heard fans were then given refunds after paying their money but I was being pampered by Boss Skies.
“Boss Skies wanted to ‘kill’ me with six Blue Label Whisky bottles that I downed in Kadoma.
“We had fun and I didn’t know the people of Kadoma loved my music and my brand,” he said.
Carlos Green said he was ready to engage management at Bar Rouge to try and mend the bridges.
“In showbiz we need each other and I feel embarrassed to have wronged management at the joint when I forgot my show.
“It was nice having fun in a different town altogether.
“The vibe was awesome and I really enjoyed myself even though I messed up in Kadoma,” he added.
A source at the joint said:
“We felt short-changed when he told us he had a flat tyre.
“We were equally disappointed by his conduct, it was totally regrettable.
“We thought he was a professional when we hired him for his service but he proved otherwise.”
