ALL is set for the national finals of the Castle Lager 5’s Zimbabwe edition at the ZB Sports Club in the capital from tomorrow until Sunday with each province providing two teams each.
Harare will be represented by Mabelreign Sharks, DStv Rovers, Titans and Dairibord while the rest of the provinces will have two teams each.
Stanley Meck, who is the Castle Lager Brand Manager, said they will have the finals this weekend and the winners will have an opportunity to travel to Zambia to compete for the ticket to the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
“We have two teams coming from each of the main country districts which includes Midlands, Mashonaland, Matebeleland, Manicaland, Masvingo and Harare.“Some of the teams from Harare, who qualified last week, include Mabelreign Sharks, DStv Rovers Titans and Dairibord,” he said. The finals were launched last month with several five-aside teams taking part in the districts and provincial qualifiers.
The brewing giant are working with continental legend Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon as their prime ambassador.Former Warriors midfielder, Tinashe “Father’’ Nengomasha, one of an elite group of Zimbabwean footballers to take part at the Nations Cup finals, fronts the local programme and will be there for the national finals.
