THE 2015 Castle Tankard final field will be unveiled tomorrow ahead of the blockbuster race set for the Borrowdale Race Course on May 16.
Seventeen horses have been nominated for the 2000m race and the final acceptance session has been scheduled for tomorrow at Mashonaland Turf Club in Borrowdale.
Delta Beverages marketing manager Patricia Murambinda confirmed that all was set for the final acceptance.
“Everything is in order, the final acceptance is going on Monday (tomorrow) and the preparations for this big event have gone smoothly,” said Murambinda.
Among the nominated horses is holder Equina, Super Trouper, who won the 2014 Zimbabwe Challenge and the 2014 Republican Cup winner Lucky Sam.
Thriller Manila, the promising Gentle Brook, Captain’s Tiger, Killa Man, All the Bids, Form Cup and Glorious Jet are also on the nominees list for the 53rd edition of the Castle Tankard.
Menacing, Mighty Sha, Norgay, Rock the Country, Two Gun Kid, Warcraft and Yer-Maan complete the list.
