THE 52nd edition of the prestigious Castle Tankard Horse Race is on at Borrowdale Racecourse this afternoon.
Delta Beverages, through their Castle Lager brand injected US$50 000, into this year’s race where 18 horses will take part.
The 2000m feature race will have Captain’s Tiger, Madigan Ginepri and Super Trouper under the spotlight in the battle for honours.
Last year, A King Is Born romped to victory in the Castle Tankard.

This year one local horse, Forty One, is taking part.
Argentina has provided three runners in Orbit War, Coltrane and Ginepri who won last Year’s OK Grand Challenge.

Last year’s Triple Crown winner Captain’s Tiger lost his way but can be a force once again.
Approval Rating, who won last year’s HIRB Gold Cup, is one of the horses to watch.
