On the Zapu side the exiled wing of the party was led by James Robert Dambaza Chikerema who led the Youth Affairs. The others in the civilian leadership included Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo, George Bodzo Nyandoro, George Silundika and a little later Edward Silonda “Mbahwa” Ndlovu.
