Daily tops Byo rap chart

Jubbs’ song Daily, which documents the struggles that people go through while trying to make ends meet, peaked at number one when the chart came to a close on Monday.

Speaking to Chronicle Entertainment, Jubbs said he was grateful to the fans that had voted for him to secure the top spot when the chart show ended.

“I am happy people voted for me and for that I would like to thank them because without their support this would not have been possible,” said Jubbs.

Jubbs said that the track, which was produced by hip hop producer Tha Vyrass, was motivational and that may have been the reason people identified with it.

“The track is an upbeat and motivational song about pushing and working for what you want on a daily basis something which all of us can identify with,” he said.

Jubbs also thanked the organisers of the chart for giving young artistes a platform where they could

share their music with their fans.
“The chart is a great initiative for Bulawayo as people can get a taste of the best and latest music while also getting to vote for their favourite artistes,” said Jubbs.

Jubbs’ song beat songs from other Bulawayo artistes Kasi Lunatics, Kwan fire, Double Shine and Navy Seal as he got the most votes out of the five.
