Kunonga’s staff evictions illegal: High Court

THE High Court has nullified the eviction of 14 staffers at Daramombe Mission by Archbishop Nolbert Kunonga’s Anglican Church of the Province of Zimbabwe saying the move was illegal.
Justice Chinembiri Bhunu ruled that the workers should immediately be reinstated to their respective workstations.
Archbishop Kunonga and his compatriots – through the deputy sheriff – evicted two headmasters from the mission’s primary and secondary schools, their deputies, nurses, boarding masters, teachers, the hostel matron and tuckshop keepers while armed with Justice Ben Hlatshwayo’s order.

FORMER TP Mazembe midfielder, Mthulisi Maphosa, who is now turning out for FC Platinum, has courted trouble with the police following allegations that he stabbed a Bulawayo man in the abdomen on Sunday.
The man is now recovering at Mpilo Central Hospital.
