THE Anglican Church’s Bishop for Ha-rare Chad Gandiya has defied a Sup-reme Court directive to stop seeking political intervention in a long-drawn wrangle over ownership of the church’s properties.
Bishop Gandiya and other bishops affiliated to the Church of the Province of Central Africa, on Monday sought President Mugabe’s intervention in the matter.
This was despite a warning by Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku that such moves were tantamount to asking the executive to interfere with judicial processes.
Chief Justice Chidyausiku instructed the Registrar of the Supreme Court to write to the parties warning them agai-nst seeking political interference in the matter.
