THE second leg of the Carling Black Label Bulawayo provincial pool finals is set for Nkulumane’s Fast Cash, where a fresh line-up of players will compete for spots in the City of Kings and Queens squad ahead of the national finals.
This year’s national finals, hosted by Bulawayo Province, will take place at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Hall One on August 9.
The first Bulawayo provincial final was staged at Golden Pillars, where veterans Stephen Paswani, Norman Moyo, Sindiso Sibanda, and Vigilant Ndlovu secured places in the men’s category.
In the women’s division, Thandekile Sibanda, Aldred Nogate Ndlovu, Robyn Nikiforos and Plaxedes Musoveri booked their tickets to the upcoming national showdown.

“We’re happy to have successfully held our first provincial finals at Golden Pillars last weekend. On Saturday (tomorrow), we host the second round at Fast Cash,” said BPPA media and publicity officer, Osborne-Wells Dziko.
“Out of the 31 centres countrywide, only Bulawayo and Harare usually hold two provincial finals because of the sport’s growing popularity.”
Zimbabwe Pool Association (Zipa) technical director Wellington “Dewa” Chikasha, confirmed that 16 pool tables will be in use, with 20 referees officiating throughout the tournament.
Veteran figures in the Bulawayo pool scene, including Nomore Muzvidziwa, Donald Wadawu, Dziko, Farai Nyandoro, Tapera Shumbanhete, and Tichaona Dzawo, will oversee technical operations to ensure matches run without a hitch.
The Carling Black Label national pool finals will lead into the annual BPPA Heroes Cup, scheduled for a week later.
The Heroes Cup will signal the return of BPPA league action following a month long mid-season break.
