CBZ fulfil youngster’s dream

GLOBAL Sports Academy football player Munashe Gatsi’s dream of attending trials with several clubs in the United Kingdom will be fulfilled after CBZ Bank donated $3 800 at a ceremony at Celebration Centre in Harare on Monday. Gatsi, an 18-year-old midfielder was invited for trials by Go Football FC in partnership with Global Sports in England and has been facing financial challenges to make the trip.“I can’t believe this day has actually come. I’m so happy and I feel very blessed to receive this amount. So many people wanted to be where I am, but unfortunately it was not possible for them,” said Gatsi.

“I want to pay my gratitude to CBZ for helping me on my journey to achieve my dream and also my coach for motivating and inspiring.”

The young footballer is scheduled to leave Zimbabwe on September 27 for the trials.

Speaking at the ceremony, CBZ chief executive, Never Nyemudzo, said his bank was happy to help the footballer.

“I feel honoured to present this donation to this young talented youth and I am certain this will promote a generation of eager youths who want to follow in the same footsteps.

“I am happy that we have talented people among us, who will go out and represent us well.

“We as a team would like to help youths,” he said.
