CCC activist Amos Chibaya who is facing charges of inciting public violence has been denied bail by Harare provincial

magistrate, Mr Dennis Mangosi.

In his ruling, Mr Mangosi said Chibaya is not a proper candidate for bail since he is a flight risk.

It is the State’s case that on June 25 this year, Jameson Timba and other CCC members appeared at the Harare Magistrates’

Court for bail ruling on a charge of participating in a gathering with the intent of promoting public violence.

The court heard that Chibaya and other CCC members came to show their solidarity with Timba and the others.

However, the bail ruling was not delivered by the court and this prompted Chibaya to convene a meeting at the entrance of the

Harare Magistrates’ Court.

Agency Gumbo and Ostalos Gift Siziba were among the speakers.

During the meeting, it is alleged that Chibaya encouraged the people to revolt against the justice system.
