Cde Mushore laid to rest

The late national hero, veteran politician and former Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Provincial chairman, Cde Luke Mushore was laid to rest today at the National Heroes Acre with full military honours.

Cde Mushore, whose Chimurenha name was Cde Dick Joboringo, died on 13 June 2025.

President Mnangagwa presided over the ceremony, which drew people from all walks of life.

In his eulogy, President Mnangagwa described Cde Mushore as dependable.

“His demise is a huge blow to our country, his family and liberation war veterans. On behalf of the Government and people of Zimbabwe, our revolutionary party, Zanu PF, my family and indeed on my own behalf, I express my deepest heartfelt condolences to the Mushore family for this sorrowful loss,” said President Mnangagwa.
