SOCIALITES and celebrities are sympathising with songbird Ashley “Shashl” Moyo over her leaked sex tape with Chillspot Records producer Levels.
Among the socialites who sympathised with her is Madam Boss, Lorriane Guyo, Sis Melly and Netherlands-based Afro fusion artist, Vimbai Zimuto.
l LORRAINE GUYO
Leading the pack was Guyo, who grabbed headlines three years ago, when she experienced a similar issue.
Lorraine, of the “Ndinyengeiwo” fame, urged Shashl to be firm and resolute during these trying times.
“I went through the same in 2019 but I am not the one who was in the video, the girl was my look-alike.
“I felt like that was the end of my life,” she said.
Lorraine urged Shashl to be strong and move on during such trying times.

“Social media can be very brutal and no one deserves to go through what you are going through right now.
“As a sister, I want to tell you that this will come to pass.
“I personally do not think it’s a laughing matter because one day it might be your daughter or sister going through the same,” she said.
l MADAM BOSS
Comedienne Madam Boss, who was siding with Levels, has apologised for her stance after realising the error.
“No one deserves such a treatment.
“I didn’t know that there are videos. I thought I was supporting a fellow artist, not knowing they are both victims.
“Now that I know the whole story, I would like to apologise to everyone and Shashl,” said Madam Boss.
l SIS MELLY
Similar sentiments were echoed by socialite Sis Melly, who urged the Shashl to be strong.
She said the songbird had learnt a thing or two after her mental strength was tested following the leaking of the sex tape.
“Sorry girl, I feel for you. This too shall be over.
“We cannot laugh or bash you over things like these because tomorrow I might wake up and see the same thing happening to my daughter,” she said.
Sis Melly said Shashl deserves some love and respect to get over the embarrassment, which can haunt her for years.
“You cannot be crucified for this because no one is perfect.
“Things like these can push someone into committing suicide, so let us support this girl.
“Life is a journey and we are all walking at the same time learning a lot,” she said.
l KIKKY BAD***
The outspoken rapper also shared her thoughts on social media where she denounced revenge porn.
“Revenge porn is whack , but what’s more whack is creating a ghost page to stage the facade with your real email and phone number.
“Why is it most men, when rejected, resort to revenge porn or violence? We need to be kind to Ashley, no woman wants to be humiliated like that.
“As a community, we are sometimes hypocrites panyaya dze bullying of any kind. Bullying yacho tinoiwanza. And that’s why suicide rates are skyrocketing. No woman wants to be violated like that, especially by someone, you loved and trusted. Hugs to Shashl.”
l VIMBAI ZIMUTO
The former Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi backing vocalist, reckons Shashl needs support to get over the issue.
She said:
“Don’t worry Shashl you’re still young, you will meet a real man soon. Real men don’t take videos they do you proper with their whole body no extra hands for phone.”
