Cement Primary shines at Chipawo concert

Cement Primary School of Bulawayo stole the limelight last weekend at the Chipawo End of Year Concert with their well polished act.The concert, which was held at the Zimbabwe College of Music, saw more than 20 Chipawo centres participating.
The school was the guest performer at the show and danced to South African popular song “Orlando” by DJ Vetkuk before getting into the gumboot dance with to the sound of the song “Shosholoza”.

They outshone Harare schools as they wowed the crowd with their energetic moves.
“I haven’t seen anything like this coming from kids. It shows we are representing and it is just the opportunities that we need.

“This is the Chipawo we know and I am happy that I enjoyed the show,” said Rujeko Mpariwa (14) from Bindura.
The concert ran under the theme, ‘‘Sale of Children’’ and saw excelling students and centres scooping awards.
